Dear Colleague,

I recently joined the real world (again) and upgraded from a wonderful Power Mac (beige) G3 running a very reliable OS 8.6 to a really slick iMac G5! I asked Jay @ Comp USA about transferring files from my old machine to the new one ... he suggested a crossover patch cable. I hooked up the two computers via the ethernet connection, played around a little with the "file sharing" settings but I'm not seeing anything
on either machine.

Is there a simple way to transfer some of my files from my old G3 to my new G5?
