Dear MUG representative,
I'm sending you this letter to introduce myself. I'm the new circulation manager at macHOME magazine. In the past several months I've learned that many of you in the MUG community aren't aware of the extraordinary changes at macHOME that have taken place in the last two years.
Here are some highlights:
- CCR Media purchased the
magazine and officially changed the magazine's name from Mac
Home Journal to macHOME.
- Hired former Macworld editor and MacAddict founding
editor Cheryl England to shift the focus from newbie-level information
to more practical information for all Mac users.
- Talented new art designer Thomas Miller redesigned the overall
look of macHOME and won the Gold Ozzie award for his work,
the magazine industry's most prestigious award for a magazine
redesign.
I could go on and on about
why I think macHOME is the most practical and useful Mac
magazine, but let me share what a fellow MUG member in Arizona
thinks. He included this quote in a recent Arizona MUG
newsletter:
"I gotta say that even
with all the Mac news I gain from the web, AMUG, and Macworld,
this publication truly offers more! Sure they have the reviews
and how-to's, but what I enjoy the most is how to-the-point the
whole magazine is. There are tips on every page covering things
like creating a QTVR (which I tried last night, and worked to
a tee!) and freeware from the net that can add pizzazz to your
Mac. Their how-to's
aren't unnecessary lengthy like Macworld can sometimes
be, and they approach their reviews with a 'how can this product
help me' kind of thought. If you guys are looking for some great
reading, give macHOME a try."
We couldn't have said it better ourselves!!
I'd like to make it easy for you and your MUG members to give the redesigned macHOME a try so I've created an exclusive MUG subscription price just for you. This MUG price is the lowest price available anywhere! Right now, members can subscribe to macHOME for an entire year for just $14.99. That's one issue a month, 12 issues in all and an incredible savings of over 50% off our regular subscription price. Again, this is the lowest price available anywhere for our publication. Just think of this as one more great benefit of being a MUG member! All members need to do is visit this web page: http://www.machome.com/subscribe/mugoffer/ and sign up.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit about our publication, and for spreading the word to your fellow MUG members. Give macHOME a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
With kind regards,
Betsy Eads
